GDIF welcomes all and endeavours to be accessible for everyone! 

We have worked with our artists and team to consider access at every stage of the process. Our friendly team of staff and volunteers are available for assistance and have been trained in Disability Equality.  All shows and sites are relaxed and we invite audiences to feel at home in our company.

At GDIF we do our best to make our events as accessible & inclusive as they can be.

All GDIF sites will:

Worried about getting to site? Each event page will have:

✅ Photo routes and travel information– Easy Read photo routes from the nearest transport link to the venue, will be available on event pages.

✅ BSL and Captioning– BSL available at selected times, please check out our BSL event guide and book your place on our bespoke BSL events.– Captions provided by The Difference Engine App show the captions directly on your own mobile devices. Find out more about Difference Engine app for our captions, which you can download via your App Store:  Apple  or  Android.

Getting to the Festival

 

We always encourage our audiences to walk, cycle, or get public transport to our events. There are lots of cycle routes across the Royal Borough of Greenwich and east London, and cycle parking will be available at or near all events. Many GDIF sites are accessible by river, so why not travel with Uber Boat by Thames Clippers?Uber Boat by Thames Clippers, is the leading River Bus service on the River Thames and stops at 24 piers across London between Putney in the west to Barking Riverside in the east. Services run at 10-20 minute intervals between key London piers including Greenwich, Canary Wharf, Tower, London Bridge City and Westminster, as well as several residential piers.

Passengers are able to use contactless or Oyster cards to pay as you go, as well as booking their ticket online or on the Thames Clippers Tickets and Uber apps making river travel even easier.Buy a single ticket or a River Roamer ticket for all-day hop on and hop off. With a Family River Roamer kids go free!
