Circus, storytelling and Hip Hop dance combine in an immersive family adventure to the moon.

Inspired by the lifecycle of the butterfly, this immersive show for 3+ years combines storytelling, circus and hip hop dance, to take you on a family adventure to the moon. On your journey you’ll encounter iconic figures including Mae Jemison, the first Black woman astronaut, plus plenty of opportunities to take part and have fun!

Ella Mesma Company, creates magic experiences using a diverse range of folkloric dance styles & aerial silks to bring the stories that they would love to have seen growing up to life.

Ella Mesma Company is a British based dance theatre company drawing upon a diverse range of folkloric dance styles to create highly-skilled theatre. Much of the company’s inspiration is borne out of the Company Director’s diverse training in Afro-Latin, Breaking and Contemporary dance, as well as the diverse skills that each individual company member brings to Ella Mesma Company.

Their goal is to make work that undoes limiting beliefs and celebrates diverse cultural and social identities on this incredible planet. Values and kindness are also at the heart of the company ethos as well as equality, self love & wellbeing and balance.

Ella Mesma Company, strives to create beautiful, inspiring diaspora dance theatre to allow transformation through the honouring of their values and the telling of personal and global stories.

Site Access

All shows at ParkWorks are free to attend. Just show up.  

Assistance Dogs Welcome 


Park Work is a relaxed event. You can join and leave at any time, move around and make noise.   

Level Access  

There is a mix of hard-standing and grass areas. Trackway will be used to create accessible routes 

Access Viewing areas  

An access viewing area for disabled audience members will be marked with a sign or flag. Space for wheelchair users, companions and seating with and without arms will be available. 

Quiet Space  

A covered Quiet Space will be avaible for anyone who wishes to escape the crowds for some chillout time in a low sensory comfortable environment.  

Accessible Toilets  

Mobile changing places facilities with a hoist and changing bench will be available at ParkWorks.  Please bring a sling to use the hoist.  

There will also be accessible toilets on site.
