 Who we are 

FESTIVAL.ORG is the trading name of Greenwich+Docklands Festivals, a company limited by guarantee. We are registered in England & Wales (company number 287 6062) and VAT registered (VAT number 629 9872 73). We understand that your personal information and privacy are important to you. We make every effort to ensure that the information you share with us is recorded accurately, retained securely and used only according to your wishes. We protect your personal information and adhere to all current data protection act legislation with respect to protecting privacy. We do not give out, sell or trade our mailing list data with external organisations. 

How does FESTIVAL.ORG use your information? 

We aim to be clear when we collect your data and not to do anything you wouldn’t reasonably expect. 

If you sign up to our mailing list, book tickets, apply to be a volunteer, respond to an event survey or give a donation, we usually collect your name and contact details. Where it is appropriate (and you have the right to decline to give this information) we may also ask for your age, gender, ethnicity, information relating to your health or, if making a donation, why you have decided to donate to us. 

We use this data to provide you with the events, products, services or information that you asked for, to ensure we know how you prefer to be contacted, to understand how we can improve our communications or events, to administer your donation, or to process Gift Aid. 

We may share anonymised personal information with other organisations, particularly Arts Council England, who use this to help understand the impact of the public investment made in Some of our events are presented in partnership with other companies. We will share anonymised postcodes with them. If you opt to join their mailing list we will give them your name and contact details. 

We will not otherwise share your personal information with third party organisations. 

When someone visits our website, we use Google Analytics to collect statistical data and details of visitor patterns which tell us which parts of our website visitors use most often. None of this information uses, or requires the use, of personal information and is processed in a way that does not identify individuals. We do not make any attempts to find out the identities of individuals visiting our website. 


Our mailing list 

We use MailChimp software to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics on opening rates and clicks on links which help us monitor and improve our communications. You can unsubscribe at any time from newsletters by clicking the unsubscribe link on each e-newsletter. You can read MailChimp’s privacy policy here. 


Our box office 

Most of the events at GDIF and produced by are free, but there are some events that are ticketed. We collect your name and contact details when you book to attend a event. By booking for an event via Eventbrite these platforms you consent to the collection, retention and use of your personal information in accordance with the terms outlined below. 

The information you provide will be used to process your booking. We will also use it to contact you via Eventbrite regarding your booking. We may also contact you to undertake post-event evaluation. Unless you opt in to our mailing list you will not hear from us outside of these parameters. Please note that Eventbrite is a third-party service that is not owned or managed by This privacy policy only refers to the way will use your information.
