FESTIVAL.ORG is the trading name of Greenwich+Docklands Festivals, a company limited by guarantee. Registered in England & Wales No. 287 6062.

We understand that your personal information and privacy is important to you. We make every effort to ensure that the information you share with us is recorded accurately, retained securely and used only according to your wishes. We protect your personal information and adhere to all current data protection act legislation with respect to protecting privacy. We do not give out, sell or trade our mailing list data with external organisations.


 

What we use your personal information for
We aim to be clear when we collect your data and not to do anything you wouldn’t reasonably expect.

If you sign up to our mailing list, book tickets, apply to be a volunteer, respond to an event survey or give a donation we usually collect your name and contact details. Where it is appropriate (and you have the right to decline to give this information) we may also ask for your age, gender, ethnicity, information relating to your health or, if making a donation, why you have decided to donate to us.

We use this data to provide you with the events, products, services or information you asked for, ensure we know how you prefer to be contacted, understand how we can improve our communications or events, administer your donation or to process Gift Aid.

We may share anonymised personal information with other organisations, particularly Arts Council England, who use this to help understand the impact of the public investment made in FESTIVAL.ORG. Some of our events are presented in partnership with other companies. We will share anonymised postcodes with them. If you opt to join their mailing list we will give them your name and contact details.

We will not otherwise share your personal information with third party organisations.

Mailing List
We use a third party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We use MailChimp software to help gather statistics on opening rates and clicks on links which help us monitor and improve our communications. Individuals can unsubscribe at any time from newsletters by clicking the unsubscribe link on each e-newsletter.  You can view MailChimp’s privacy notice here.

Eventbrite
By booking for an event via our Eventbrite channel, (www.gdif.eventbrite.com), you consent to the collection, retention and use of your personal information in accordance with the terms outlined below:

Collection of information
We collect your name and contact details when you book with Eventbrite to attend a FESTIVAL.ORG event.

How we will use your information
The information you provide will be used to process your booking. We will also use it to contact you via Eventbrite regarding your booking. We may also contact you to undertake post-event evaluation. Unless you opt in to our mailing list you will not hear from us outside of these parameters. Please note that Eventbrite is a third-party service that is not owned or managed by FESTIVAL.ORG. This privacy policy only refers to the way FESTIVAL.ORG will use your information. You should also review Eventbrite’s terms and conditions and privacy policy as we do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies.

This website contains links to other websites. We’re not responsible for the privacy practises of these websites and you should read their own privacy policies. The privacy policy described here, applies only to personal data collected by FESTIVAL.ORG

Security
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk.

Google Analytics
When someone visits www.festival.org, we use Google Analytics to collect statistical data and details of visitor patterns which tell us which parts of our website visitors use most often. None of this information uses, or requires the use, of personal information and is processed in a way that does not identify individuals. We do not make any attempts to find out the identities of individuals visiting our website.

Third party organisations
Your information may be shared with us by independent fundraising sites like JustGiving if you make a donation to FESTIVAL.ORG, but only when you have indicated that you give your consent to hear from us. You should check their Privacy Policy when you provide your information to understand fully how they will process your data.

Access to your information and correction
You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. If you would like a copy of this information, please contact us by email to hello (@) festival.org or by post to FESTIVAL.ORG, Visitor Centre, Old Royal Naval College, King William Walk, Greenwich, SE10 9NN. We want to make sure that your information is accurate and up to date. You may also ask us to correct or remove any inaccurate information. We include the option for you to update your details or unsubscribe from our mailing list every time we send you our e-newsletter or send you information in the post.
