What to Expect: Dance | Great for Kids | Speech free

This locally resident company have a passion for bringing dance to people in new and unusual ways. Set to a bouncing electronic soundtrack, these interactive dance games will connect you with the childlike joy of play. Watch the fun unfold or get stuck in and be part of six choreographic games facilitated by a friendly team of dancers and a Gamesmaster.

Site Access

All shows in Dancing City are free to attend. Just show up.
Assistance Dogs Welcome

Level Access

There is level access to all Dancing City show locations.
Some sites are accessed via public lifts.

Access Viewing areas

A priority area for disabled audiences will be marked with a sign or flag. Space for wheelchair users and various seating options will be available at each performance site.

Distances between shows

The festival site is across the Canary Warf Estate. Performance sites are 5-15 minutes away from each other. Each site has multiple performances throughout the day. Check the map and brochure to plan your route.

Quiet Space and Access Areas

There will be a covered Quiet Space available. The Access Area will have volunteers and staff available for access information throughout the day.

Assisted Access Routes

On Sunday 10th September GDIF volunteers will guide audiences on the following access routes:

2)Audio Described performances
3)Performances with Easy Read available

All these locations have accessible facilities. The accessible toilets in Canada Place and Churchill Place have changing places hoist facilities.

Established in 2012, Casson & Friends are a UK based Record Breaking Dance Theatre Company, creating #PeoplePoweredPerformance – unique performances & projects that are accessible, interactive & joyful.  The company work with a diverse range of collaborators, from filmmakers and musicians to computer programmers and psychologists, but most often collaborate with local communities and the wider public, inviting them to co-create & engage with dance in exciting & accessible ways. C&F create for theatre, rural, outdoor, public space, off-site, unusual, community and online contexts. The company has presented work extensively, touring the UK and internationally to over 10 countries including Hong Kong, Zimbabwe & Australia.
