Work With Us

FESTIVAL.ORG is not currently hiring for any positions. Future opportunities will be shared on this page and through our social media.

FESTIVAL.ORG is a Disability Confident Employment Leader; we aim to offer interviews for all Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent candidates who meet all the essential criteria. Please note, we reserve the right to limit the number of interviews offered dependent on the amount of applications received. For more information about FESTIVAL.ORG’s approach to access, click here.

We actively welcome applications from candidates who identify as racialised** and those who identify as Deaf, and/or disabled as these characteristics are currently underrepresented in the organisation.

If you would like an informal chat or any other information regarding the role, please contact Ellie Harris [email protected] via email to arrange. Please note, owing to the winter period, enquiries received after 12 December ‘25 will be answered week commencing 5 January ‘26.

*FESTIVAL.ORG is committed to an equal opportunities policy in its employment practices with the aim of ensuring that everyone who applies to work for us receives fair treatment. To help us achieve this aim we ask you to complete the monitoring form and  enclose it within your application email. This information will be used to monitor the effectiveness of our Equal Opportunities Policy, is kept confidential, and is not used as part of the recruitment assessment process.

**In using the term ‘Racialised’ we refer to people who identify as Black, Asian, Brown, dual heritage, indigenous to the global south, Global Majority, and or have been racialised as ‘ethnic minorities’. (Rosemary Campbell-Stephens, 2020)

Artists

Most of our conversations with artists evolve over a long period of time and there isn’t a formal application process for presenting your work at GDIF or being commissioned as part of thDe Festival. However, we collaborate with a variety of national partners on some projects which offer commissioning opportunities via open call – discover more below.

Stomping Ground
Stomping Ground is a commissioning group comprised of The Place, FESTIVAL.ORG,  DanceXchange, and Glasgow Tramway.  We are interested in supporting compelling ideas that are visually striking and engage across a broad audience base.  The commission is built towards investing in artists interested in the development of ambitious, high-quality work, created for outdoor spaces that can grab the attention & imaginations of audiences.

Without Walls
GDIF is a founder member of Without Walls, a consortium of the country’s leading outdoor arts and performance festivals dedicated to raising the profile of the UK outdoor arts sector on the international stage. Since 2007, Without Walls has commissioned and supported more than 100 new outdoor projects, and the consortium continues to offer annual commissioning opportunities. Join the Without Walls mailing list to be the first to hear about opportunities.
