Access and Inclusion are at the heart of GDIF. Free art, everywhere, for everyone.
At GDIF we are proud to be the first UK festival to be awarded Platinum status from the Attitude is Everything Live Events Charter.
We are committed to creating an unforgettable experience for Deaf, Disabled and Neurodivergent audiences and artists.
Our friendly staff and volunteers will greet you and are on site to help you have the best festival experience. They have all done Disability Equality and Communication Access training.
The festival takes place across different locations.
All of our sites:
・Are wheelchair accessible
・Have level Access
・Welcome Assistance Dogs
・Have chairs available
Larger festival sites for Greenwich Fair and Dancing City will have:
・Access staff and welcome point
・Covered Low Sensory Space
・Changing Places facilities
・Induction loops at the welcome point and BSL
・Accessible viewing areas

We have special accessibility for each show:
・Shows with speech will have a BSL interpreted or captioned performance. Lots of shows are speech free
・Selected shows will have Live Audio Description through a headset. Some shows will have a downloadable Audio Introduction or Digital Audio Description
・Some shows will have pre-show touch and familiarisation tours
・Some shows will have QR codes for you to see the lyrics from music in the show, using navilens.
・At Greenwich Fair there will be an assisted Live AD route and a suggested BSL/ speech free route.
・At Dancing City there will be guided BSL and Live AD routes.
・There will be a suggested route for people who want help with planning their day, with easy read guides to help.
・The festival is relaxed, meaning you can move around and make noise. You can find sensory information on each event page.
・Easy Read Visual Stories can be downloaded and printed copies will be available
