GDIF 2014

In 2014 we invited audiences to see the world from a different angle. From gravity-defying aerial choreography to global stories of war and peace; encounters between the living and the dead and a house turned inside out; from a pop-up desert island to a flying ship; the magic of outdoor theatre reinvented the everyday and encouraged audiences to look at the world anew. Award winning poet, playwright and artist Inua Ellams was GDIF’s 2014 Festival artist in residence. We presented performance at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for the first time, and presented inventive outdoor performances from Flanders, featuring companies who offer surprising and unusual perspectives on the everyday.
