A journey of dance, discovery and connection through Woolwich presented by Luca Silvestrini’s PROTEIN.
This cinematic dance Odyssey emerges from the natural world of Woolwich Common, crossing streets and squares on its way to the Royal Arsenal. You’ll be swept up in 360 vision of a community on the move as dance, storytelling and live music unfold all around you.
En Route to Common Ground is a relaxed walking experience which welcomes all and aims to be accessible to everyone. Friendly volunteers will be on hand for assistance, and there will be opportunities throughout to rest, sit down and watch. We welcome Assistance Dogs and wheelchair accessible routes are available. BSL Interpreted and Audio Described performance on Sunday 4th September at 2:30pm.

What to expect?
Audiences will meet at Woolwich Common and be guided in small groups by a performer encountering nature as they go. The groups and performers meet and merge together, everyone will pass through the 19th century St George’s Garrison Church where audiences will have the opportunity to rest whilst watching the performers. The journey continues onwards to the town centre in a crescendo of protest and celebration where local community groups join the performance. Finally, everyone will arrive together at Royal Arsenal Riverside for a joyful celebration.

2 & 3 September:
Welcome point opens at 5pm
Performance is 5.30pm – 8.30pm
4 September:
Welcome point opens at 2.30pm
Performance is 3 – 6pm

On-site walking distances
This promenade performance lasts 2.5 hours, of which there is approximately 30 minutes of walking spread across this time.

Blue Badge parking is available near and around the town centre as well as at Powis Street, & Tesco Car Park.
