GDIF 2024 | London’s free, annual outdoor performing arts festival 23 August-8 September 2024
Reflection Gardens
Part of Healing Together
Friday 10 September, 8.30pm-10.30pm & Saturday 11 September, 8.30pm-10pm
What to Expect: Sensory spectacle
Free
See both sides of the Thames light up at dusk in this multi-sensory experience, bringing together light, sound and fire effects, all meticulously integrated into the riverside landscape. As we emerge from the pandemic, Walk the Plank’s cross-river installation is designed to provide space for reflection within an atmosphere of hope and healing, whilst evoking a spirit of community resilience which characterises life in both Woolwich and North Woolwich.
Unfortunately, we will be unable to present After the Storm by Walk the Plank this Saturday in the way we had planned, due to industrial action. Whilst we will not be presenting a spectacle on the Woolwich Ferry, the specially created soundtrack will be incorporated into Walk the Plank’s Reflection Gardens.
Sorry, this event has already happened!

Based in Salford, the company works with artists and communities to create events that give people a sense of place and a sense of pride, or to celebrate an important moment in time, or the cultural diversity of a local community.
From city centre parades and capital of culture opening ceremonies, to installations at festivals and historic places, Walk the Plank creates memorable moments that reflect the space and place in which their work is presented.
