In this moving stilt theatre performance, a giant bench provides the poetic setting for a performance exploring loneliness in old age. Bringing social isolation and ageing into larger-than-life focus, this universal story resonates with recent memories of lockdown. Following the performance, audience members are invited to explore the bench and experience the world from a different perspective.

About the company

TEATRO SÓ is a Portuguese theatre company based in Berlin. It has developed a multidisciplinary approach to circus arts, mask technique, physical theatre, installation and plastic arts. All these components converge to an imaginative, non spoken, visually poetic theatre in which the communication between actor and audience happens through the power of gesture.
