Enter a fun-filled creative playground, where each sculpture is a game and each game is an animal.

Use your mind, body and imagination to navigate these interactive sculptural games, which have been created using recycled materials to bring an array of surprising animals to Stratford Park. A washing machine motor becomes a fish, a kitchen pot becomes a penguin and an old car part becomes a flamingo. Now it’s up to you to play your part!

L’animalada is supported by the London Borough of Newham  and Arts Council England. With thanks to Charcoal Blue.

About Katakrak

Katakrak was founded in the Catalonia town Tona. The company was founded in 2004 by Sandra Sarda, with support from family and friends. In 2005 David Gonzales came on board to create new games and help enrich the project. Over the next 4 years, the company brought out their first two collections of games L’Animalada and “Els Recicloperats” recognised in Catalonia and Spain, giving around 270 performances.

Since the beginning Katakrak has worked with three important concepts: play, creativity and recycling. In other words, they use ingenuity to create original games (play) that they invent (Creativity) with recovered and recycled materials and objects (recycling) for the public.
