Ripple
30 August - 31 August | Timings TBC | Peninsula Square, Greenwich Peninsula, SE10 0DX
Duration: 35 Minutes
What to Expect: Dance | Sensory spectacle
This UK premiere fuses contemporary circus and engineering to mesmerising effect in a show centred around a giant metal spiral.
A giant metal spiral becomes an acrobatic playground as circus, dance and physics come together in a performance exploring the consequences of our actions. Enacting a “ripple effect”, three virtuosic performers are confronted with a series of increasingly challenging and unexpected hurdles, forcing them to push their limits, jump higher and even suspend time itself. This UK premiere fuses contemporary circus and engineering to mesmerising effect.
Ripple is supported by Greenwich Peninsula, The Royal Borough of Greenwich, Royal Greenwich Festivals and Arts Council England.

About TeaTime Company
In the work of TeaTime Company, the boundaries between circus and dance fade and a new and hybrid movement language is created. Showing concrete, human reactions to abstract situations. Founded in 2017, TeaTime Company started as a collaboration between artists Hannah Rogerson, Bavo De Smedt and Pieter Visser. The trio studied, in the fields of contemporary dance and circus, at Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts in Tilburg, The Netherlands. Upon discovering their mutual interests and vision they decided to join forces in the creation of their own performing arts company. TeaTime Company grew into a company where different artists from different countries comes together and create/ perform these unique concepts.
