Gravity-defying contemporary dance by internationally renowned choreographer YOANN BOURGEOIS
YOANN BOURGEOIS, widely known for viral live performance videos and recent collaborations with Harry Styles, Missy Elliott and P!nk, brings his signature blend of gravity-defying performance, hypnotic movement and awe-inspiring trampolining to Dancing City.
Performed to Daft Punk’s disco anthem Touch and using the legendary voice of Paul Williams, this extraordinary performance will take place in Stratford Cross against the iconic backdrop of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Touch is supported by Stratford Cross, Lendlease, London Borough of Newham, London Legacy Development Corporation, Arts Council England and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
More information about Yoann Bourgeois
Yoann Bourgeois is an internationally recognised artist who has always been committed to decompartmentalising artistic approaches and spaces.
His singular research is embodied in physical devices amplifying phenomena that allow him to invest extraordinarily varied spaces and to propose infinite variations. This constellation is a search for life, a permanent process of creation that he calls: The unreachable suspension point.
He created his company in 2010 after having performed with renowned choreographers. Director of the CCN2 of Grenoble from 2016 to 2022, he becomes the first circus artist to direct a national institution dedicated to choreographic art.
“Bourgeois is an acrobat and dramatist of physics. A humorist and motion philosopher.” (New York Times)
