Variable Matter
Established in 2020 by award-winning artist David Shearing, the practice collaborates with world-leading individuals working across design, architecture, digital, policy, academia and community practice, to deliver perspective shifting event-based projects.
Variable Matter’s approach is simple, they place people at the heart of everything they do. The company’s aim to bring about change: environmental, political and social, through high quality and rigorous artistic enquiry. They question their own sustainability and those who they work with to find new ways to use materials. Variable Matter believe in the power of design to inspire new forms of connection and experience. They produce their own projects, but also work with others across different sectors.
